Who handles content reports
2nd screen currently uses Bluesky’s social content service to show posts, profiles, feeds, and search. Bluesky’s restrictions and moderation labels can affect what you see even when your account is hosted with us. Your content settings, applicable regional moderation, and other moderation services you select can also affect visibility.
- In-app reports: the reporting flow names the moderation service receiving your report. Reports sent to Bluesky or another moderation service go to that provider, not automatically to the 2nd screen support inbox. Message reports are handled through Bluesky’s reporting service.
- Our account hosting: we can restrict or suspend hosting for accounts currently on pds.2ndscreen.social, including for activity through another app. We cannot suspend hosting for accounts held by another provider.
- Our own features: contact us about our listings, sports services, badges, or material we publish. We can act on features we control. We do not currently run our own system for hiding individual network posts for everyone using 2nd screen.
- Another provider’s decision: appeal to the provider that made it. For Bluesky’s content restrictions or moderation decisions, use Bluesky Support. We cannot reverse those decisions.
When you email us a report, we assess which services are involved and what action is within our control. Where another provider’s action is needed, we may send it the information needed to assess the concern or explain how you can report directly. This is a manual process; email reports are not automatically forwarded to Bluesky. We limit sharing as explained in our Privacy Policy. Referring a report does not replace our own responsibilities or extend an applicable legal deadline.
Hiding content in an app, restricting account hosting, and removing a provider’s copies are different actions. None guarantees removal of every copy on the open network. Muting or blocking through your personal settings does not delete the original post.
Accounts and other services
2nd screen connects to existing AT Protocol accounts and offers a limited invitation-only hosting beta at pds.2ndscreen.social. Your chosen provider handles account hosting, recovery, and deletion. For an account on our host, contact the support inbox above; for another host, contact that provider. In the app, Settings → Account includes email, password and account-deletion controls where supported. Account deletion affects the network account, not just its use in 2nd screen. Our host currently disables media uploads; invitation availability is limited. For a decision made by Bluesky, use Bluesky Support; the app’s reporting flow names the service that receives your report.
Leaving 2nd screen or uninstalling it does not delete your network account. For information held separately by our team, use the privacy request instructions.
