Safety & intimate-image reporting

Threats, exploitation, stalking, and intimate images shared without consent are prohibited on 2nd screen. This includes realistic fabricated or digitally altered intimate images and threats to publish them. You do not need a 2nd screen account to contact us.

Report to 2nd screen

Email support@2ndscreen.social with “Urgent safety report” in the subject. Include the exact post, message, or profile link; what happened; and a safe way to reach you. Do not download, attach, or redistribute illegal imagery. If someone faces immediate danger, contact appropriate local emergency services; this inbox is not an emergency service.

For a request to remove an intimate image depicting you, or someone you are authorized to represent, include:

We review safety reports under our guidelines. Where the TAKE IT DOWN Act applies, a valid removal request requires action within 48 hours and reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies within that period. Reporting one image does not require you to find every duplicate. We will communicate the outcome or any information needed to locate the material.

Report to the relevant provider too

The in-app reporting flow identifies the moderation service receiving a report. A report sent to Bluesky is handled by Bluesky; it does not automatically reach our inbox. Bluesky supplies the app’s social content and chat services even for accounts hosted with us. Its intimate-image reporting page provides a separate reporting route. Another account host may also provide a reporting process.

When a report reaches us, we assess action on our own services and, where another provider must act, we may refer the concern to that provider or explain how to report to it directly. For accounts currently hosted on our server, we can restrict or suspend hosting; that authority does not extend to accounts held elsewhere. We do not currently run our own system for hiding individual network posts for all app users. Action on Bluesky’s copies or messages requires Bluesky’s involvement.

Contacting or referring a report to another provider does not replace our own obligations or extend the applicable 48-hour deadline described above. We remain responsible for legally required action on our services. We do not claim to operate another provider’s hash-matching program or to remove material from the whole network.

Protecting a report

Provide only the information needed to investigate. We use reports for safety, follow-up, and legal obligations, and limit disclosure as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not include passwords or session tokens. To challenge a decision we made, reply to our response or email support with its reference.
